Its time to integrate your old outdated BMW iDrive system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto! Our installation kit offers a seamless integration with your original BMW iDrive system and screen that allows you to control certain functions with your original iDrive control knob!
Key Features:
- Completely Plug & Play utilizing your factory wire connection points with no coding or additional wire splicing necessary
- The hosting system supports both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. (Wired connection via USB is also provided with the kit)
- Screen resolution is 1080p HD with 60fps allowing for a super crisp smooth and fast screen movement.
- Once your device is paired, the system automatically connects wirelessly any time the system is powered on.
- The kit allows you to switch back and forth between your factory iDrive system and CarPlay/Android Auto by simply holding down the menu button on your iDrive controller knob for 2 seconds.
- You have the option to retain your OEM microphone or use the provided aftermarket microphone if your BMW doesn't have an OEM microphone.
All necessary wiring hardware is included for full installation:
- Main CarPlay/Android Auto hosting box
- Main power integrated wire harness
- LVDS IN cable
- LVDS OUT cable
- WiFi Antenna (for wireless connection)
- External aftermarket microphone
- USB cable (for wired connection to CarPlay/Android Auto)
- Front/Rear backup camera ports

Professional installation is recommend but is not required. An installation guide is provided with the kit.

A Back-Up Camera is available as an add-on to your order
Directly installs in place of your trunk release switch right above the rear license plate. A new trunk release switch is incorporated into the back-up camera assembly.
